Every Workout Counts.

A lot of my friends and blog followers always ask me how I manage to have time to do my workouts. Well, it's pretty damn simple. I love and really believe that every workout counts. The minimum I've ever had a workout for was 15 minutes, it happened way too quickly and it was too little time, also because i love working out, the longer I workout, the better. Even the really short 15 minute workout felt great though. I love the fact that even the short workouts count and I get so sore and LOVE that feeling. Usually, I love the day after leg-day, i feel so sore but it's just such a proud feeling.
Ahhh is it just me or do you love it too?? Which day is your favourite?

Healthier Choice.

HEALTHIER EVERY DAY: I've been having a little obsession of eating clean and healthy after watching a bunch of documentaries and listening to Fitness Gurus, finding out things about food and all. I'm having a lot of fun researching and all.
Anyways, it's not true that you can't eat out when you're eating clean and healthy. YES, it's a lot better eating at home because you know exactly what goes into your meal BUT there is always some clean plate at almost every restaurant. I mean, even at McDonalds there is an option of a chicken salad. You just have to learn and convince yourself that you can do it. I guarantee you, YOU CAN!

When It All Began.

Today’s post is dedicated to telling you everything about when my journey started. Back in middle school, i liked sports but I didn’t like my professors as much as I should have and my level of laziness reached an extreme level. So let’s just say, when I could, i would not do it even though i should have. In high school i was a bit better since we had a gym session. I started liking it more and more but still didn’t like it or put enough effort into it. In summer 2013, I applied to do an Internship with Shape Magazine Middle East which is now Woman’s Health. I did my internship for almost two months and learnt so much both about health and fitness.I was able to write artless about both MMA, Boxing as well as Running such as running classes and clubs in Dubai. Went to photoshoots, wrote articles about nutrition and did tons of research. During my time at the internship I was also able to attend different fitness classes and then write an article about my experience and what i liked and disliked about it. 
From then on, the entire thing motivated me, something changed in me so that’s when it all began. In September 2013 I started buying some equipment for myself so i could do my workouts at home. as the weeks went by I wanted to do more and more. 
October 20th, i started going running in the morning before getting ready and leaving for University. I started feeling a lot more active and felt so much better in general. My meals changed, not as much as they should have, but I would try to be careful and not have carbohydrates after a certain hour and so on.
Obviously seeing how my body was back then and how it is now, it worked and I’m really proud of how far i’ve come. When I started, i told my self i would not stop and I haven’t since. There is still a lot to go, I still want my body more toned but honestly, it takes time. I love seeing my body change though, it’s such an honour.

Today, I try eat as healthy as possible, I still eat chocolate once in a while and I still have my spoon of Nutella but I have like 5 meals a day and I try to drink as much water as I possibly can throughout the day.

Here I Am.

A FRESH START: Good morning everyone! Rise & Shine! Hope you’re all having a great morning so far, I’m sitting here in Sri Lanka and to be completely honest I’ve been thinking of new ideas for my blog, it needed a new something but I couldn’t figure out what it was until i woke up this morning. The first thing i thought about this morning was a some sort of link to my health and fitness side of me on my blog. So i decided to write a few things down and the reasons why i wanted this was because my passion for health and fitness grew a long time ago, i’ll tell you all about that later. I decided to make a link through my personal blog which i’m hoping you’ve all seen and one where I can write about my experience with health and fitness. So here I am, sitting here with this gorgeous view all ready to start. Are you ready to take this adventure with me? I’m going to be blogging about Health & Fitness. I will post motivational quotes, pictures and a bunch of other things, but you’re going to have to wait and see.

Welcome To The New PTW.

WELCOME:  Hello everybody, hope you're all having a wonderful Friday! Today I'll be sharing with you a very important project i've been working on for several months now.
It's very exciting to finally be able to share it with you all! I do admit, it's been difficult keeping it a secret but now the secret is out, at least one of them! A new layout, a bunch of new features and so much more coming to you in the near future. It was about time I did something new to this baby (the blog). Soon, (in September) It'll be 6 years since I wrote my first post which is CRAZY!. Since my blog has become a daily thing once again and i'm not planing to stop any time soon. I thought I'd start working on some new features (not too long ago) and launch it before I travel but I finished all this early.
I just wanted to update you on the features I already changed.
Since I post about pretty much everything, I decided it was about time to cut it down a bit. I picked my main categories and stuck to those which are FASHION, BEAUTY, TRAVEL and HEALTH & FITNESS. Those are my main things I want to focus on the blog from this day onwards. I changed the font, and soon there will also be a new look to the blog itself.
In the FASHION section, I'll be posting everything and anything related to Fashion. Starting from Outfits of the day, bags I love, looks I got inspired by for my looks, celebrities wearing awesome outfits and so on.
In the BEAUTY section, I'll be posting beauty products including hair, makeup, nails, and so on. New products I buy such as new makeup will also go under BEAUTY.
The TRAVEL Section will be all about traveling, inspiration and the posts I'll be writing when I'm in a different country.
The HEALTH & FITNESS will be everything even motivation pictures, workouts I try out, workout I do, healthy food I eat and photograph and so on.
I find it easier to update my blog now that i'm on Summer Vacation but it'll be different in a couple of months.
I also wanted to update you on one more thing, the reason why I chose those 4 main categories is because, my passion for Health & Fitness as well as Travel grew a long time ago and I actually had a thought of launching a new website only for my health and fitness related articles, then I decided it would be easier and make more sense If i dedicate an entire session on PTW, so that's what I did.
I hope you guys all love the new things I've been working on. I find it a lot more organised and clean.

Morning Walks

GET YOUR BODY MOVING: Moving your body is extremely important. The easiest workout that one could think of are morning fat-burning walks. Every single weekend, my family and I go for a long walk with the dogs. I love morning walks, that have so many benefits. Not only you're getting some Vitamin E, you're also sweating and getting a fat-burning workout in (unless one eats before their workout). Usually I wake up super early, start a quick home workout then go out for our weekend walk and finally come home have loads of water and then breaky.
Walking is so good for us, not only for our bodies but just to get your body moving, to have some alone time and to get some sun.
Even when it's 40*C outside, I love walks, jogs & runs.

Julez Goes To Bangkok.

MAJOR THROWBACK: Yes, I know I'm extremely late with these posts but as you know I was on a sort of break from the blog! Better late then never right???
Here are some gorgeous photos of my trip to Bangkok! Such a different city from everywhere else I've been. Also a never-sleeping one. I did so much shopping over there, it was insane! Oh and I went tanning every single morning because it was such nice weather and you wouldn't sweat after 2.5 seconds.
Tuk-Tuk rides were definitely my favourite! If you have the chance, i would definitely recommend it! At least once, mostly for the experience.

Work For It

GET UP AND JUST DO IT!: I'm the biggest fan of Ashy Bines and from the longest time. I've been following her for years on social media as well as her programs. I actually bought the programs a really long time ago but no programs ever worked for me. So I tried buying other ones from other Fitness Gurus / Personal Trainers. The photo of me on the top is when I was working out 5/7 a week and ate super-duper clean. In 2016, Ashy Bines and her team launched not one but TWO apps. The first one was the "28 Booty Challenge". I call it the booty app. and the second one is the "28 day Ab Challenge".

Snapchat Fun

SUMMER-TALK: Hello beautiful people! I recently got back home from another crazy shopping day! I love love love love shopping in Summer, favourite season of course! So in the past 3 days I got, 5 new pairs of shorts, a bunch of shirts, 4 new bikinis, new pjs and 2 new pairs of sandals and of course a bunch of makeup. Pretty stoked at the moment and extremely happy with all my purchases.

I Like Planning Early

SUMMER TRIPS: If you know me, you already know this...I LOVE planning early. I don't really know why. Maybe It's cuz I feel much more organised when I have things planned and I know where to go and stuff.


PRODUCTIVE MORNING: Good morning loves! I tried going for a run this morning but my blister was killing me and i made it worse (good job Giulia). I feel so bad about myself not being able to run properly and feeling really bleh. I can't wait until tonight, i'm going to try go again!

After My Haircut

RUNNER FOREVERSo you guys know already that i'm not the biggest fan of hairdressers in general just because i've had pretty bad experience with haircuts and colors. One of the times I asked for ombre hair and to cut only like 2cm off my hair....I walked out of the place with orange-ish hair and really freakin short. It was horrible.
ANYWAYS, best hairdresser in town is now located in DIFC, in Dubai. They are amazing. My hair looks so fresh and healthy every time i walk out of there. It's amazing.

It Was Only

RESULTS ARE OUT: Ahhhhhh It was only after I got my grades that I realise that after all....I think I do kinda just a TINY bit miss Uni! That day was crazy! Can't believe Uni is over and when I get back from my trip...I don't have to wait for my Uni weekly timetable to be out....such a sweet-bitter feeling.

SUMMER-LOVIN': Hello gorgeous people!  Hope you're all having a beautiful day!! I'm currently waiting for my sister to get ready so we can go shopping. She wants to buy a new outfit for tonight. I thought i'd write a little post since I wanted to tell you guys what i've been up to.

We went to brunch, then we went to McGettingan's. I had TONS of fun and so glad all my closest friends were there. SO much fun!

OBSESSION: Okay,yes, I do have a lot of obsessions. One of them, is coconut water. This one is the best ever. First time I tried it was a while ago and I was so amused that it was PINK! Then I did tons of research and now I  can't stop drinking it. love it love it love it.

SALT With The Fam!

FIND SALT: The day after my birthday, it was time to celebrate with my family, if you know me well enough you would know how to answer the "where did you go for dinner with your family" question. SALT obviously, currently my favourite place to eat a fast-isa smallish burger which tastes DELICIOUS, out of this world. I love love love love love going there so so much! I find the place exciting and just the entire atmosphere and the people who work there are just awesome!

It's like 1 am now, so technically not exactly my birthday yet, but it is the third of June so why the hell not write my birthday post now??
I'm really really super duper excited about today! My closest friends and I are going to brunch! 
All I asked for was balloons! Wondering why? Because, if you saw my parent's birthday balloons, I got them a giant one...
No but seriously, doubt i'll ask for birthday gifts...usually I ask for a trip or something like that I can remember. This year I got a tiny birthday gift, SUPER early one.....back in April....which was my VLOGGING camera! It was an amazing gift so I really don't need anything else.

I'm super excited about today, I should probably go sleep to get enough sleep before we start drinking....it's going to a fun long day!

Birthday In Two Days!

Wednesday today! It's like almost 7 in the morning and I already worked out, showered, had breakfast, cleaned up my room and now writing this article. I think I can call this a very productive day.
I seriously cannot believe it's JUNE already, like how quickly is time passing by?????? Seriously think about it, this year is half way done. Okay thinking about it like that scares me. So many things are happening, MY BIRTHDAY IS IN 2 DAYS!!!!!! AHHHHH! Things are getting a little cray cray! Always think positive though! I'm super excited about my birthday, i mean ishy. I have a million and a half things to do before my birthday celebration which is in 2 days. I’m actually super excited about all the things I need to do. My past birthdays have been pretty epic I must say. My birthday week has begun. Usually I celebrate it once with my family, once with friends…sometimes twice and usually my sister and I always have a Sister’s date this time of year where we just order in take out and watch one of our favourite movies.
I cannot wait for Friday…omg!!!
Anyways i need to go to my appointment now so I shall talk to you all very soon!
